“Why take the class when I’ve read the book?” some may ask. Reading Bryan Peterson’s books opened up a new understanding and comprehension for photographic elements that other books simply had not done. I’d read tons of books, messed around on my own for years and while many thought my images were good, it was not until taking his Understanding Exposure online class that I saw a dramatic change in my images – and people started asking to buy them. The best advice I have for aspiring photographers who ask me how I learned my skills – take one of Bryan’s classes!
“Bryan had me shooting from points of view that made me think I was in one of those commercials where the lady yells, “Help, I have fallen and I can’t get up!” But no fear as Bryan was not only there to pick me up but he assured me that these low points of view were what was needed to get the shot. And you know what? Bryan was right! My husband exclaimed when I got home, “Wow! That’s beautiful! You really took that!?”
"Bryan's photography workshops are great! I've done 2 workshops and I certainly intend to do some more. I've learned a lot in such a short period of time. Thank you Bryan!"
I had the very good fortune of taking Bryan's “Understanding Exposure” course many years ago, and that course was fundamental to my greater understanding of my DSLR and how I could use it to express what I was seeing in my mind's eye. The amount of time I now spend in post processing has dropped dramatically to the point if I'm not done in less than 10 minutes (max) I strongly reconsider my shot. He has made a seemingly complex adventure a very simple and enjoyable experience. Lots to think about, but never confusing. I can't imagine being taught photography by anyone other than him or his chosen associates in the online world. I can't thank you enough Bryan.
I simply love the You Keep Shooting videos!! So much information and exciting! "Come on create some chaos!!"
"I first met Bryan Peterson at the beginning of my photographic journey through his wonderful books. I found his books easy to understand, creative, and highly engaging. Learning from Bryan’s books led me to seeking out other opportunities to learn from him. I have attended two events where Bryan was the speaker. Bryan uses his wonderful imagery, gift of storytelling, and sense of humor to help audience members learn more about photography. I have also had the privilege to take an online course with Bryan and attend three of Bryan’s workshops. Bryan’s workshops are incredible. It is amazing to watch his enthusiasm and creativity in action. Bryan works very hard to meet the needs of each participant. He assesses participants’ levels and differentiates his instruction in the field to meet the needs of each participant. Bryan loves what he does and it shows. He truly goes above and beyond for his students."
“Bryan is not only a talented photographer, he is a great communicator. His weekly lessons were clear, to the point, fun and challenging. Who would have thought I’d leave this course with so many ‘insider’ tips?! Another bonus…his sense of humor… worth the price of admission.
“Bryan is one of the most selfless photography instructors I have ever met. His level of enthusiasm and desire to teach is truly infectious. He makes you want to learn, he makes you so damn excited to get up early and he makes you thankful you stayed out well past your bedtime. There really is something to shoot at most any hour of the day or night. I know that now, thanks to Bryan.”
