“Why take the class when I’ve read the book?” some may ask. Reading Bryan Peterson’s books opened up a new understanding and comprehension for photographic elements that other books simply had not done. I’d read tons of books, messed around on my own for years and while many thought my images were good, it was not until taking his Understanding Exposure online class that I saw a dramatic change in my images – and people started asking to buy them. The best advice I have for aspiring photographers who ask me how I learned my skills – take one of Bryan’s classes!

“Bryan had me shooting from points of view that made me think I was in one of those commercials where the lady yells, “Help, I have fallen and I can’t get up!” But no fear as Bryan was not only there to pick me up but he assured me that these low points of view were what was needed to get the shot. I had the very good fortune of taking Bryan's “Understanding Exposure” course many years ago, and that course was fundamental to my greater understanding of my DSLR and how I could use it to express what I was seeing in my mind's eye. The amount of time I now spend in post processing has dropped dramatically to the point if I'm not done in less than 10 minutes (max) I strongly reconsider my shot. He has made a seemingly complex adventure a very simple and enjoyable experience. Lots to think about, but never confusing.
