Late afternoon, racing down a gravel road in NW Tuscany, Italy, a single refrain of the song, “...over the hill and through the woods to Grandmother’s house we go...” is stuck in my head like a needle on a record.
One of my students is desperate for a toilet, finally, in the distance, maybe 2 km’s, a farmhouse/bed&breakfast, hopefully, and following some quick talking (pleading actually) the students wish was realized and myself and several other students started to wander around the vast hillside property and once we all reached the backside of the hillside farmhouse, a simultaneous gasp, as if choreographed for a Broadway play, spilled from our mouths and this image is of course why. You keep shooting!
