Description: The Murray River, in South Australia, is the longest river in Australia, at 2,508 kilometres. In years past it was the main thoroughfare for the transportation of supplies through the interior of the country. Now there is much agriculture along it's banks, it is amazing that the countryside is so parched but the river feeds the crops of wheat and fruit. Sadly there are too many imposts on it nowadays.
