Description: .The Scottish River Findhorn is clear and dark caused by deposits of ancient black peat. This decaying vegetation releases compounds known as surfacants. These help break the surface tension, which in turn allows air to more easily mix with water and creates bubbles. This picture shows the clear water and patterns of bubbles from overhead. The water also contributes to exquisite whiskies.
