The heart that wasn’t, but actually it is!... It was a day I got ‘schooled’ by my youngest daughter Sophie. I call this Sophie’s tree, a tree that Sophie called my attention to fifteen years ago, a tree growing in a field twenty miles northeast of Lyon, France, a tree “that looks kind of like a heart”, said Sophie.
I had been shooting a macro shot in the grasses below, at some distance from the tree and when I looked up, I remarked, “Wow, you’re right, I can see that. It’s a tree with an ‘almost’ heart shape.”
“Almost, why almost?” asked Sophie. “Well, because the ‘heart’ is not quite perfect, especially on the left side, it’s flawed”, I replied.
“Nobody’s perfect Dad.” So to those of us that are flawed, (that covers probably most of us) I wish you all an insightful weekend!
