Description: Shot this black turkey vulture in January 2018 at a resort in Huatulco. I needed to blur the background in Photoshop using gaussian blur (used the quick selection tool to create new layer and mask) and then the clone tool to add another layer of flowers to hide horizontal ledges that cut behind the bird in two. Shot in the late afternoon, hand-held at 10 frames per second. Head and feet in focus but feathers are soft. Should I have shot f16?
