Expect the unexpected! In celebration of Cats on People’s Heads Photography Day, I present this portrait of a brightly dressed woman and her kitten, photographed in open shade against one of the countless colorfully painted walls inside the ‘old city’ of Harar, Ethiopia!
If wandering the streets with careless abandon all over the world, has taught me just one thing, it is this; before that day of wandering has come to a close, I will have remarked, at least once, “Wow, that was certainly not expected!” and it is this never ending story of the unexpected that plays out before me, page after page, upon which these stories are revealed, pages that are not turned by my hands, but rather pages that are revealed and turned by the mere act of placing one foot in front of the other, pages that are ‘read’ of course with a camera and lens. A truly healthy way to keep both one’s mind and body in shape. No wonder that several studies have shown that those who practice this hobby called photography are more likely to have a higher quality of life, physically, mentally and spiritually! You keep shooting!
