We had a great time in my recent Chicago workshop, and although it felt at times bitterly cold, Crown Fountain was running at full strength and there was no shortage of subjects, albeit not in summer attire, where one could create splendid compositions of light and color in combination with the silhouetted human form/shape to add some welcomed personality to the overall scene. The coming together of both backlight and front-light is quite possibly the most positively lethal and exposure opportunity that one can come across and here are three examples, along with a brief video, to afford you some additional insight into understanding the exposure dynamic as well as the graphic portrayal of these compositions, all of which were shot in camera with my Nikon D500 and Nikkor 18-300mm, at the 240-300mm range.
You keep shooting!
