Description: This was on vacation in Israel a couple of years ago, on Herzliyah beach. My husband and I were going for a walk and this scene caught my attention. It was quite hot, the light was bright and this man was resting in the shade. I think his almost silhouette draws the eye first. I chose to keep some detail in the silhouette. I found the triangular shadow interesting - it leads from the path and appears to point to the tracks, which directs the eye out of the frame and away from the man, leaving him in peace! The shape of the slatted roof is interesting too, and cleverly casts a solid shadow. I like the simplicity of the photo, enhanced by the limited color palette.
