Description: I was walking the dogs and spotted this hawk sitting low in a tree down the street so I hurried home to get the camera. Fortunately the hawk was still there when I got back. I am curious how I would expose this shot correctly as background was bright and the tree was blocking the side light... shot at 6:00PM in March 2019. I used matrix metering, would centre metering been a better option. I have adjusted the exposure up by .5 and increased the shadow in Lightroom.
