Further proof that color is everywhere, ... and when composing this portrait at a Hindu Temple in Jaipur, India, I chose a point of view that would allow me to incorporate the bright orange/yellow blanket into the background, (blanket can be seen hanging in the background of image below). The soft even light inside the temple made for an east Aperture Priority exposure, shot at F/7.1@1/200 sec., 400 ISO, with my ever present Nikon D500 and Nikkor 18-300mm at the 300mm focal length, and this longer than ‘normal’ telephoto length for shooting this portrait is also why, in large part, the background blanket records as large and diffused, out of focus tone.
