If patience is a virtue, then street photography is the place to become virtuous! In all my years of shooting, nothing comes close to having your patience challenged more than the act of street photography...similar to shooting wildlife on the plains of Africa, where most everything is given to chance, the ‘wildlife’ that is found on the streets of cities, both big and small, is also given to chance. And just like staking out a known area where wildlife come together, such as a watering hole, I chose to stake out this ‘watering hole’, a large wall of graffiti art on the corner of Bowery and Houston in New York City and do nothing but wait for ‘that something’; two hours later, and my patience was rewarded with a brief encounter that resulted in a lasting frame of humor! Have a great Monday and you keep shooting!
