Description: It was magical. A few moments before this photo we were sledding in the snow at The Pinery Provincial Park, Lake Huron, Ontario. I wanted to show the awe of the moment and the spontaneous response of my granddaughter to shed her coat, boots and socks to explore the sand dunes and feel the warm sand between her toes- barefoot on a winter afternoon. I liked the footprints on the dunes, the idea of surprise with the snow in the background and the warm sand under her feet.
